Overview
Recently I watched Indian 2 there were much negative reviews but for me I felt it wasn’t the story or the fact that some say if the Indian Thatha passed away in Indian 1 there wouldn’t a Indian 2. I feel the movie story line was much adapted to how India is even coincidentally a public servant named joy who went into the drain to clean the waste that was thrown into the drain. But some say that’s in Kerala, NO it happened in India so I think the story was fine.
Indian Thatha
I saw an interview about Director Shankar answering a question asked by the interviewer about the age of the Indian Thatha and how’s he able to do all those stunts. He replied by saying that there’s a Chinese master named Lu Zijian who’s 118 old and if he can do it Indian Thatha can too. This I can only partially agree because if you in Indian 1 the Indian Thatha was even walking with difficulties so how can he be fighting like a normal 60 + man even with 6 packs, yes he can still fight but with less movement. Next the prosthetic makeup, for me the makeup was so poor from Indian 1 I saw a post on Instagram the other day it was very true where, in 1996 in Indian 1 the Thatha was portrait as a real old man but when coming to Indian 2 the makeup was bad. I’m not saying bad about the makeup artists but they should have been more careful in keeping the standards.
Songs
Now the songs in this film are a bit upsetting to listen to compared to Indian 1 the songs in Indian 1 was more heart warming songs and in Indian 2 it was more intense. Yes the movie was made for the young generation however they could have in built a song for family to bring back the nostalgia, but I do agree that the bgms were nice.
Hashtag
Usually when we do hashtags it must be because there is a trend going on but in this film after days after the trend died Siddarth posted a new hashtag which made me think how the rest of the Facebook reacted in a short period of time
Conclusion
In conclusion the movie would have been better with some adjustments to the makeup, songs and the overall image of the Thatha. For me I look at the story so I liked the film apart from the lame and cringe jokes
