An Chieh Chiang is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of LOJEL, a global lifestyle brand specializing in premium travel goods. As the third-generation leader of this family-owned business, Chiang has been instrumental in transforming LOJEL from a traditional luggage manufacturer into a contemporary brand that emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and design.

Background and Leadership

Originally from Taichung, Taiwan, Chiang holds a degree in product design. He began his career within the family business, gaining comprehensive experience by working across various departments, including manufacturing, warehousing, product development, quality control, and sales. This hands-on approach provided him with a deep understanding of the company's operations and the broader luggage industry.

In 2014, Chiang assumed the role of Managing Director at LOJEL. Under his leadership, the company has undergone significant transformation. He relocated the company's headquarters to Hong Kong, positioning LOJEL to better serve the global market. Chiang has been a driving force in integrating sustainability into the company's core values, implementing a "design for repair" methodology to extend product lifespans and reduce environmental impact.

Innovations and Achievements

Chiang's tenure has been marked by several notable innovations. In 2017, LOJEL introduced the industry's first top-opening hard-shell suitcase, setting new standards in luggage design. Two years later, the company became a standalone corporate entity, distinct from the family's main luggage business, allowing for more focused brand development and innovation.

Sustainability Initiatives

A significant aspect of Chiang's leadership is his commitment to sustainability. He has repositioned LOJEL's company culture to emphasize environmental, social, and governance programs. By adopting sustainable practices and focusing on innovative design, Chiang aims to meet the evolving needs of modern travelers while minimizing the company's environmental footprint.

Personal Philosophy

Chiang believes in creating products that enrich life's journeys, both outward and inward. He emphasizes that personal growth is as important as collecting memories, a philosophy that is deeply embedded in LOJEL's brand ethos.

Through visionary leadership and a dedication to innovation and sustainability, An Chieh Chiang continues to guide LOJEL in redefining modern travel accessories, making the brand a notable player in the global market.
